Conference Research
The Global Conference is an annual event and a centerpiece of the organization. I was involved in UX research and design for the website and app for several years. My research included user interviews, surveys, personas, journey maps, moderated and unmoderated testing, navigation structure and studies (card sorts and tree tests), tracking, page optimization and analytics reports.
Personas
The goal of these personas was to gain insight on how attendees interact with the event app, as well as their entire journey through the conference and relationship with the organization. I completed approximately 80 short interviews with attendees at conference and created surveys for additional feedback.
The components are based on first and return attendees, as well as engagement levels. A big takeaway from the research is that many attendees who are members do not find much value with the organization past a discount for the event. Teams are considering implementing more year round content on the site and other efforts to add value and engagement. View the personas
Navigation Study
I implemented event tracking on the navigation and created a report in Axure pulling the numbers from Google Analytics. This piece was included in recap reports to identify possible revisions to the structure for the next conference. View the report
